TEACHING
My experience as an educator includes significant practical and classroom instructor duties for both the University of California and the US Air Force.
My approach to teaching emphasizes historical perspective and practical application of political principles, using both quantitative and qualitative analysis and to demonstrate the ability of politicians and institutions to address conflicts or build coalitions among individuals, groups, and political bodies. I am prepared to teach a broad range of courses in American Politics and Research Methods. Specifically, I am interested in teaching or developing courses such as Introduction to American Politics; Partisan Realignment; Political and Economic Inequality in America; The Politics of the Civil Rights Movement; or, Religion and Politics in America.
